How the reverse marketplace works

Post what you want
Buyers describe the item, pick a category, and set a budget — how much they're willing to pay. Add condition, location, and an optional photo. That's the Want sellers see.
- Step 2
Sellers reply with offers
Sellers browse and filter Wants, then send an offer and a 1:1 message. No auction. You decide who to talk to. They can also list an item on For Sale.
- Step 3
Close the deal off-platform
Meet locally or ship. Pay however you both trust. Want never holds the money or takes a cut — it’s a conduit between buyer and seller.

What is Want?
Want is a reverse marketplace. Buyers post what they want and set a budget. Sellers browse those Wants and reply with offers. The sale happens off-platform — Want is the conduit, not the checkout.
How do I post a Want?
Describe the item, pick a category, set the budget (what you are willing to pay), add condition and location, and optionally attach a photo. Posting is free during launch; after that it is $0.99 per post. There is never a commission on the sale.
How do sellers find buyers?
Sellers browse and filter Wants on Discover, then reply with an offer and a 1:1 message. They can also list an item on For Sale if they want buyers to come to them.
Does Want process the sale or take a cut?
No. Sales happen off-platform, directly between buyer and seller. Want does not hold escrow, process the payment, or take a commission.
Is Want a local marketplace?
Yes. Each Want includes a location so nearby sellers can reply. You can also deal at a distance if both sides agree. Meet in public and pay in a way you both trust.
